Ms Angela Meaney
When speaking with Angela you will quickly realise she is originally from Ireland where she completed her hospital based training almost 20 years ago. Having lived and worked in the UK, Angela has been in Ballarat for 16 years.
For the first 7 years she worked as on oncology nurse in St John of God in Ballarat. Her last position was a blood cancer coordinator for the Leukaemia Foundation covering the Grampians and Loddon Mallee region. This was an exciting position offering practical and emotional support to people and their families living with a blood cancer. Part of this role involved setting up support groups, not only those patients, but their carers’ as well.
Since September 2015, Angela has returned to her clinical nurse position in St John of God and is very excited to be part of Ballarat Cancer Care where she hopes she can bring her supportive care experience to the team.
Outside of work, Angela has a 5 year old girl and a heeler cross who both keep her busy.
