Our close relationships with colleagues in Melbourne ensures that the expertise of larger centres is available to the people of the Grampians and Wimmera regions and beyond.

We understand that communication is at the core of maintaining strong collaborative relationships with all those who play a role in the care and support of our patients including:

Carers, GPs and other Specialists,
The Emergency Department, Ward 1 West and Chemotherapy Ward at St John of God Hospital

Ballarat Health Services and the Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre - Dr Carden, Dr Francis and Dr Smith currently provide consulting sessions at the BRICC Centre

East Grampians Health Services and other Regional Centres -Dr Carden provides a visiting service to Ararat once a fortnight, supervising chemotherapy treatment

Support groups for cancer and blood disorder patients including McGrath Breast Care Nurses, the Prostate Cancer Support Group, Support 4 Cancer and the Cancer Council

Palliative Care providers – early and cooperative liaison to maintain quality of life and support based on the belief that the emotional support of patients and families is as important as their physical treatment.
