Dr Heather Francis
Dr Heather Francis obtained her undergraduate medical degree at the University of Melbourne and subsequently completed specialist medical oncology training at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Institute and in Ballarat and Albury.
Heather, and her husband David spent a year working in Malawi, sub-Saharan Africa in the areas of oncology, palliative care and general medicine. She was involved in teaching local medical students, and led research into the treatment of the HIV-related malignancy, Kaposi’s sarcoma. She is currently completing a Master of Public Health focusing on areas of clinical research and health services management.
After commuting for a number of years Heather and her family relocated from Melbourne to a country property near Ballarat.
