Sam is a medical oncologist based in Ballarat working at both Ballarat Cancer Care and the Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre (BRICC). She grew up in Ballarat and has returned to raise her daughter close to family. Sam completed basic physician training through the Royal Melbourne Hospital and has trained in medical oncology at Warrnambool, Cabrini, Peter Mac and Austin. She completed a clinical trials fellow year in the lung/melanoma portfolio at the Austin prior to undertaking a general clinical trials fellow year locally at BRICC.


Sam is able to manage all tumour types, including providing supportive and palliative care. Sam’s subspecialty interest is lung cancer and she continues to be actively involved in clinical trials as a sub-investigator at BRICC. She also works alongside the Rapid Access Lung Lesion clinic (RALLC) and is the deputy lung MDM chair. Sam lives locally and is readily available to accept new referrals.


Outside of work Sam enjoys spending time with her family, running and painting.
